PSP owners are going to get a taste of zombie hunting done by scantily clad girls in cowboy hats and schoolgirl outfits. Of course, this can only be OneChanbara.
D3 Publisher is readying OneChanbara Special for PSP release this Winter in Japan. The "Special" part of the experience appears to be that you'll get to select from five fan favorite zombie hunters, including Aya, Saki, Reiko, Anna and Misery. The game will feature missions and locals that you'll recognize from past titles, and all of it will be playable in two player co-op mode.
It also looks like D3 has some new PSP features planned for the game, including a character growth system and some sort of weapon collection system. We're waiting for further details on these areas.
OneChanbara Special was playable at the Tokyo Game Show last week, so it looks like it's pretty far along in development. Japan won't get the game until Winter -- and that means early 2011, it seems. No release outside of Japan has been announced, but many of the other OneChanbara games have made it over, so there's a chance.
